JEZARIAN TO CAMPAIGN LOTUS IN SOUTH AMERICA

Georgetown, Guyana. Caribbean Motor Racing Championships – Skyline Home Loans has tapped driver Gregory Jezarian to pilot the team’s Lotus for November 8 in Georgetown, Guyana. The third and final leg of the 2009 Caribbean Motor Racing Championships are billed for the South Dakota Circuit, a permanent motor racing track at Thomas-Lands, Georgetown, Guyana. The facility is operated by the Guyana Motor Racing & Sports Club and hosts international circuit racing including the GMR&SC Skyline Mortgage Caribbean Race of Champions. At last year’s event, even the Guyanese President Bharrat Jagdeo joined thousands of motor racing fans who turned out to witness one of the biggest events in motor racing in Guyana. This year, November 8 will certainly be one to remember when the region’s fastest cars and top drivers meet in Guyana.

Kawall Deosaran, CEO of Skyline Home Loans, picked Jezarian to drive the team’s race-prepped Lotus Exige shortly after watching his last race at NJMP. “Greg adapts quickly to new circuits and shows maturity and speed in the cockpit. Our Cosworth engine has been rebuilt and the team is working to have the car ready for Greg’s arrival. We’ve got a solid three days of testing before the race and I’m confident he’ll be able to give us the feedback we need for our race set-up. I’m looking forward to his performance with our team next week.”

Jezarian adds: “Racing in Guyana is an exciting way to finish my season and I have to thank Kawall and the Skyline team for the opportunity. Guyana has some of the best racing fans in the world and I can’t wait to feel the energy. The South Dakota track is quite short and tight I suspect times will be in the 40sec per lap range. I’m thinking Lime Rock Park type speeds. Even though we’re down on horsepower compared with the other cars in class, we’re lighter and more nimble. After racing Formula Fords I’m used to lightweight, momentum type cars. At only 1500lbs, The Lotus will fit my driving style fine and I’m ready for the challenge.”
